Recently, the industrial AI enterprise Gtrontec, incubated by TCL Group, and Sino Carbon Asset Management, jointly invested to establish OCTACARBON, was officially established. This is the first AI enterprise in China initiated by provincial state-owned capital, focusing on large models in the energy-carbon vertical field, and also a key move for Gtrontec's 'AI + Manufacturing' capability to strategically extend into the green and low-carbon track.
The establishment of this joint venture is a substantial implementation result of the strategic cooperation among TCL Industries, Gtrontec, and Hongtai Group in January this year. Under the strategic background of the national 'AI+' action and the green, intelligent, and integrated development of manufacturing, the three parties have previously reached deep consensus on directions such as improving digital-carbon integration capabilities, cultivating low-carbon industry clusters, and green finance innovation.
As the core carrier of complementary advantages and coordinated efforts among multiple parties, OCTACARBON's core competitiveness comes from the profound accumulation of the two major shareholders in their respective fields. Gtrontec has been deeply engaged in the industrial AI track, accumulating rich industrial scenario experience in energy-carbon prediction, intelligent regulation, and algorithm implementation, and is the core AI capability support for TCL's one-stop zero-carbon park and factory solutions. Sino Carbon Asset Management, possesses full-chain license resources and mature market practices in carbon trading, carbon finance, and carbon asset development and operation. The combination of the two gives OCTACARBON both industrial AI technical capabilities and carbon asset management capabilities, a capability combination that is the first of its kind in the domestic energy-carbon track.
Relying on strong technical and resource support, OCTACARBON takes its self-developed energy-carbon vertical large model as the core and builds a service matrix of '1 intelligent platform, 6 scenario platforms, and N intelligent agent applications'.
